Calculators without an account

Entries in the calculators are processed only for the calculation and are not stored. The entries appear in the address bar (GET forms) so that a result can be bookmarked or shared. Please note that a shared address contains the entered values (such as date of birth and measured values).

Professional accounts and patient records

Registered professional accounts can save patient records (name, date of birth, sex, gestational age, optionally social security number) and measurements. The social security number is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM and saved only as an HMAC for retrieval. Each record is visible only to the account that created it.

The controller of the stored health data is the respective practice or institution; the operator of the portal acts as processor. For this, a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR must be concluded. Accounts and all associated data can be deleted completely at any time (My account → Delete account).

Feedback form

You can use the feedback form to report errors or suggest improvements. The message, the calculator concerned, an email address given voluntarily (for follow-up questions only) and, if you are logged in, your account number are stored. To prevent abuse (rate limiting), the IP address is not stored in plain text but only as an encrypted check value (HMAC). The feedback is also forwarded by email to the operator. The security check (arithmetic task) is generated by the portal itself; no third-party providers are embedded. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in error-free calculators (Art. 6 para. 1 point (f) GDPR). Completed feedback is deleted after twelve months at the latest. Please do not enter any patient data in the feedback.

Technical details

The portal sets a session cookie (technically necessary) and uses no tracking or analytics tools. Server logs contain the IP address, time and requested address and are deleted after a short period.
